What We Believe
WE BELIEVE the Holy Bible is the only inspired, infallible Word of God. We believe
that there is one God eternally existing in three persons; God the Father, God the
Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father,
conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. WE BELIEVE that all have
sinned and come short of the glory of God. Repentance and a true change of heart are
commanded by God, and necessary for the forgiveness of sin. We believe that Jesus
was crucified to pay for our sin, buried and raised from the dead on the third day. He
ascended to heaven and now sits on the right hand of God the father as mankind’s
intercessor. We are accepted by God and forgiven of sin by faith in the blood of Jesus
and confess His lordship over our lives. Sanctification is both immediate and
progressive, subsequent to the new birth, through the Word of God and by the Holy
Spirit. WE BELIEVE that holiness is God’s standard of living for His people. WE
BELIEVE that all believers should obey the command of Jesus and be baptized in the
Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4, that they might receive power to be witnesses. WE
BELIEVE in the speaking of other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance. This is
the initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit. WE BELIEVE divine healing is
provided for all in the atonement and redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
WE BELIEVE in the tithe which is 10%, is Holy and belongs to the Lord and must be
given to the local church, as our reasonable service for the preservation of the
ministry, according to Genesis 28:22; Leviticus 27:30; Deuteronomy 14:22; Malachi 3:
8-11; Matthew 23:23; II Corinthians 9:1-15. WE BELIEVE in the bodily resurrection,
eternal life for the righteous in Heaven, and eternal punishment for the wicked in
Hell. WE BELIEVE in conducting ourselves in decency and in order in all things,
particularly honoring the house of the Lord. We recognize the nine gifts of the spirit
and their operation, as the spirit wills, for the edification of the body of Christ, they
are: word of knowledge, word of wisdom, discerning of spirits, gifts of prophecy, gift
of tongues, gift of interpretation of tongues, gift of faith, gift of healing and the
working of miracles.
